The remainder of this policy serves to define the scope of official organizational communication from Fanimal with regard to social media platforms.
Official Communication from Fanimal
Fanimal will communicate official correspondence over social media platforms only on the accounts listed on this page. While Fanimal team members, volunteers, interns, Board and Advisory Council members, and others involved in working with Fanimal may have their own social media platforms, their comments, views, and posts do not necessarily represent the views or beliefs of Fanimal.
Sharing Content on Social Media
Fanimal may share information from other organizations on our social media platforms; sharing of such information represents an endorsement of the specific content shared, and not necessarily the entirety of the organization’s other beliefs or opinions prior to or after sharing that organization’s content.
Interacting with Fanimal on Social Media
Any request from individuals or organizations to share their posts or content on Fanimal’s social media accounts is completely up to the discretion of Fanimal. We are committed to operating in a manner that adheres to our mission, values, and goals, and we will conduct our social media communications (including sharing content) in accordance with that commitment.
We reserve the right to remove or delete any comments/posts to our social media sites for any of the following reasons:
- Profanity
- Spam, including solicitations or repeat posts
- Off-topic or irrelevant posts
- Personal attacks, threats, or defamatory statements
- Offensive terms targeting individuals or groups
- Promoting violence against humans or animals
- Promoting illegal or questionable activities
Repeated offenses, as listed above, may result in Fanimal blocking your account from our social media accounts.
Fanimal encourages users to engage with each other over social media – our goal is to help connect Fanimals from around the world to each other. We ask that comments and discussion remain civil. We reserve the right, but are not obligated to, delete comments or posts that repeatedly harass others and/or to correct or delete comments or posts that contain misinformation.
