The arts, in its many forms, serve a critical role in raising awareness of animal-related issues. Placing animal stories at the forefront of artistic expression can help creators and audiences amplify the emotional connection we all share for other living creatures. In doing so, we can lend a voice to animals through artistic expression that stands to fundamentally change the manner in which we treat them in all walks of life.
The Fanimal in the Arts Program was launched in 2022 to foster the relationship between creative arts and animal advocacy. Initiatives include collaborations with artists and arts organizations, workshops for creating art in different media, and an interactive virtual classroom for children. Programming will target a variety of ages and interests. Fanimal in the Arts programming is delivered in a virtual format with select local events to be established in the future.
